The above document An Annotated Bibliography on the Writing and Editing Process was written for my Capstone course, ENC 6952. In the Capstone course, I was tasked with showcasing my research specialty and focus along with how it is situated within the field of Rhetoric and Composition. Looking back at my time in the graduate program I realized that my main academic interest was the writing and editing process. I realized every course I had taken was firmly situated in how to write and edit professionally for both the academic and industry spheres.
In this annotated bibliography I illustrate my knowledge through showcasing fifteen of my focused readings on the writing and editing process. I go into depth on what each addition taught me, and how it relates to my specialization. In turn, I explore how those readings can be applied and how they have prepared me to work in the professional industry. This document taught me the importance of the writing and editing process and helped me see how focused my specialization truly was. By being given the freedom to explore these readings I was shown not only why we write and edit, but how we write and edit.
